Just recently a friend of mine from work started playing Eve Online. From the very first time I explained the PVP aspects and political intrigue parts of the game he was interested. Now I've finally gotten him to put down some money for a subscription. Being the guy who sold him on this fine ultimate sci-fi simulation, I feel obliged to get him into some of that PVP action he so desires. He has told me several times he is ready to "prawn" someone. He is frothing at the mouth and grinding the bit between his teeth so to speak. Well if PVP is what he wants well PVP is what I shall have to deliver then, eh?
Where do I take a newb to PVP? Low-sec? Or should we dip our toes into the Ninja Salvaging pool of exploits? What do you think? Where can we find some willing participants to fight some newbs and not be overrun by an IT blob? I think I am just going to take him to some random low-sec dive. Hmmmm, how do I find a seedy, no-good, part of the universe. I tried Carrou, but met my demise in my wolf to some Tea and Sympathy fellas. Took out a rifter that had me scrambled and webbed but could not fend off his fellow tea drinkers. Oh well, 1v1's are not to be found in EVE. Those of you out there looking for them are S.O.L. If you wanna win a fight in EVE, bring more people than they have. It's that simple my fellow pilots. He who has the biggest numbers wins everytime. Within reason.
That is all,
Zombie
