Yes. Yes there is, a big one in my opinion. I, for instance, salvage because I need the ISK. That means I don't take loot from wrecks to try and get MRs to shoot at me. It means i don't take the mission objective from the final room and hold it ransom. I don't talk trash to the MRs about how fail their fit is and how bad their mission sucks. I don't intentionally aggro NPCs to mess up the room. All these things and similiar things I just do not do because that is not why I salvage.
I like salvaging wrecks, period. I like the massive amounts of ISK it makes me and most of all I like the surprise involved. There is just something about putting your tech II salvagers on that Large Wreck and hoping for armor plates or tripped powers. It is just plain fun to me at the moment. Hell I even enjoy the scanning part of it too.
What I'm trying to say is, if you see me come into your mission, just know that the only heartache I will cause you is salvaging your wrecks!
